About Me

I’ve been playing music since I was about 6 years old. I got serious about guitar playing when I was 15 and there hasn’t been a week or more when I haven’t played since. I like simple tunes and sometimes elaborate arrangements. I have worked with a few very talented people and I am always looking to collaborate with a new friend on something interesting. I work with Propellorhead’s Reason 6 and use Line 6, Korg, and Alesis gear along with an Alvarez classical, an Epiphone hollow-body, and my queen of the studio; my T. Haruo 6 string.

I usually get up very early in the morning, sometimes at even 3:00 in the morning to do my writing. I love it when the studio is so quiet and my thoughts are so clear. I can’t seem to get any work done if I don’t have at least 3 or 4 hours in front of me. I am still learning so many things even after playing all these years it really amazes me! On weekends I will often spend the whole day working on a new tune or just jamming. I often get lost in a trance for hours and will only come up for air realizing I haven’t eaten all day or time for a much needed break. I really wish I had someone nearby who felt the same as I do about working on music. There is only so much one can do alone…one of my few regrets! I love to collaborate and hate performing alone…afterwards I just sit there and think to myself if I will even remember it…knowing whenever I collaborate on something I keep the memory fresh forever!

I could literally talk for hours about music and the many things that interest me…I really wish I had the gift of writing lyrics but then, I guess if I did, I wouldn’t feel the need to work with others as much as I do. I am fascinated at what drives us as artists…why we are so obsessed with sharing our originality. Inside each of us is a gem that only glows when we bring it to the brightness of day.

So I hope you all will enjoy what I have to share and please let me know what you like and don’t like…don’t worry, I don’t get offended when someone doesn’t like what I do…it is art and by definition needs to be interpreted…I do what I do because in many ways I have no choice and my only aim is to do it to the best of my ability.

I can only hope that you capture the spark that burns within me!
